OnePlus 9 series to come with a 2-year warranty
OnePlus is all set to announce its latest flagship smartphones, the 9 and 9 Pro, on March 23. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has announced that the 9 series will come with a 2-year warranty. Separately, an official teaser has confirmed that the Pro model will sport a 2K+ 120Hz LTPO display that has been given an A+ rating by DisplayMate.
The duo will offer an AMOLED screen
OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will sport a punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, they will offer up to four cameras. The former will bear a 120Hz, 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED screen, whereas the Pro model will feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) AMOLED LTPO display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
They will sport a 48MP primary sensor
OnePlus 9 will pack a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. The 9 Pro will feature quad rear cameras, including a 48MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto shooter, and, a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the handsets will sport a 16MP and 32MP selfie camera, respectively.
The handsets will be fueled by a Snapdragon 888 processor
OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. They will run on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 and pack a 4,500mAh battery with 65W wired fast-charging support. The vanilla and Pro models are also tipped to support 30W and 50W wireless charging, respectively.
OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro: Pricing and availability
The official pricing details of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will be announced at the time of the launch, which is scheduled for March 23. However, considering the expected specifications, the handsets are likely to cost around Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 55,000, respectively.
