OnePlus 9, 9R went on first sale in India today
OnePlus-9'>OnePlus 9 and 9R smartphones went on their first sale in India today for the Amazon Prime and Red Cable Club members. The former starts at Rs. 49,999 whereas the 9R sports a starting price-tag of Rs. 39,999. For the non-Prime members, the handsets will be available for purchase from tomorrow i.e. April 15 via Amazon India and the OnePlus store. Here's our roundup.
The phones flaunt a 120Hz display
The OnePlus 9 and 9R feature a punch-hole cut-out with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handsets bear a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The vanilla 9 is offered in Arctic Sky, Astral Black, and Winter Mist colors, whereas the 9R is available in Carbon Black and Lake Blue options.
They sport a 16MP selfie camera
The OnePlus 9 houses a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The 9R comes with a quad camera module, including a 48MP (f/1.7) main sensor, a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 5MP (f/2.4) macro camera, and a 2MP monochrome shooter. For selfies, the duo offers a 16MP (f/2.4) snapper.
They offer 65W fast-charging support
The OnePlus 9 and 9R are powered by a Snapdragon 888 and a Snapdragon 870 chipset, respectively, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. They run on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 and pack a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support. The handsets also offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a Type-C port.
OnePlus 9: Pricing and offers
OnePlus 9 costs Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and Rs. 54,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. Customers can also get Rs. 3,000 off on purchases via SBI Bank Credit Cards and EMI transactions on both Amazon India and OnePlus store, and up to 10% cashback on American Express cards only on purchase via OnePlus website.
Price and offers of OnePlus 9R
The OnePlus 9R is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and Rs. 43,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. Both Amazon India and OnePlus are offering a discount of up to Rs. 2,000 on transactions via SBI Bank Credit Cards and EMI transactions and up to six months of no-cost EMI on SBI Credit Cards between April 14 and April 30.
