#LeakPeek: Would OnePlus 8 look like this?
The OnePlus 7T just went on sale last week and the 7T Pro hasn't even seen the light of the day yet, and here we are, talking about the OnePlus 8. Reputed tipster @OnLeaks and @CashKarocom have collaborated to give us an early look at the OnePlus 8, revealing a design that looks a lot like OnePlus 7 Pro. Here's a sneak peek.
OnePlus 8: At a glance
As per the leaked renders, the OnePlus-8'>OnePlus 8 will feature a punch-hole display with curved edges and a premium-looking metal-glass design. In fact, the frontal design looks a lot like what we have seen on the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. On the rear, the phone looks exactly the same as OnePlus 7 Pro with a vertically aligned triple camera system and gradient design.
OnePlus 8 will sport a AMOLED screen
Just like the OnePlus 7 series, the OnePlus 8 should come with a full-HD+ or QHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz or higher refresh rate and an integrated fingerprint sensor. As for screen size, we expect to see a 6.5-inch or bigger panel.
OnePlus 8 is likely to offer a 64MP triple rear-camera
The OnePlus 8's renders show a OnePlus 7 Pro-like triple-lens rear camera that is likely to pack a standard sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto sensor. In fact, given OnePlus 7 Pro offered a 48MP main sensor, we can expect OnePlus 8 to pack a slightly improved 64MP imaging sensor. On the front, the flagship handset will house a single selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The OnePlus 8 should come with Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Interestingly, CashKaro has claimed that the upcoming phone will support wireless charging. If it happens, it will be the first OnePlus phone ever to offer this feature. Lastly, WARP Charge 30T fast-charging and Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 support are also on the cards.
When will OnePlus 8 launch?
Going by OnePlus's launch cycle, the OnePlus 8 should go official sometime around May-June, presumably alongside a more premium OnePlus 8 Pro. As for pricing, we expect the phone to start somewhere under Rs. 40,000, considering the design change and the arrival of wireless charging.
