OnePlus 8 Pro renders reveal punch-hole design, quad rear-camera
Just days after we got our first look at the OnePlus 8, renders of the OnePlus 8 Pro have surfaced, confirming yet another design makeover for the OnePlus flagship. Acclaimed tipster @OnLeaks and @91Mobiles have collaborated to give us an early look at the OnePlus 8 Pro which features a punch-hole display, quad-rear cameras, and curved screen edges. Here's our roundup.
OnePlus 8 Pro goes from whole to hole
Going by the renders, the OnePlus 8 Pro will ditch the whole screen pop-up camera design we saw on the OnePlus 7 Pro to adopt a punch-hole display. On the rear, the phone will house a total of four cameras including a vertically-aligned camera unit and a separate ToF sensor. Moreover, the bottom speaker grille also appears to have undergone some redesigning.
OnePlus 8 Pro will offer a marginally smaller 6.65-inch display
According to 91Mobiles, the display on the OnePlus 8 Pro will be marginally smaller at 6.65-inch than the 6.67-inch panel of the OnePlus 7T Pro. However, it will be a curved screen, presumably with QHD+ resolution and at least a 90Hz refresh rate.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
On the rear, the OnePlus 8 Pro will house a vertically stacked triple-lens camera system and another 3D ToF sensor next to it. We expect the camera unit to offer a standard sensor, a telephoto sensor, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, the phone will house a single selfie snapper nestled in the display cut-out on the top-left corner.
Under the hood
The OnePlus 8 Pro should come with Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with upto 12GB RAM and upto 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Interestingly, the phone could also support wireless charging, considering the OnePlus 8 is expected to debut this feature. Lastly, WARP Charge 30T fast-charging or something faster is also on the cards along with an improved in-screen fingerprint reader and punchier stereo speakers.
