OnePlus 8, 8 Pro press renders leaked; specifications also tipped
Just a couple of days after we saw the full specification sheet of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, reliable tipster @OnLeaks has leaked the high-quality press renders of the upcoming OnePlus flagships. The render of the Pro variant highlights a new sea green color option while the renders of the standard model reveal the handset in an all-black finish.
Here's what we know from the newly-leaked renders
The newly-leaked renders reiterate the design elements we first saw on the CAD renders back in October. Both the phones will debut an in-trend punch-hole design with curved screen edges and glass bodies. However, the Pro model will have slimmer bezels than the vanilla OnePlus 8. As for water resistance, only the Pro version will boast of an IP68 rating.
120Hz screen will be exclusive to the Pro model
According to the recently-leaked specs, the OnePlus 8 Pro will get a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with support for 120Hz refresh rate whereas the regular OnePlus 8 will offer a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate.
Both handsets will get a different set of cameras
The high-end OnePlus 8 Pro will get a quad-camera array with dual 48MP sensors, an 8MP lens, and a 5MP camera. In comparison, the smaller sibling will get a triple-lens arrangement including a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP secondary lens, and another 2MP camera. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, both the handsets will offer a 16MP front-facing camera.
Under the hood
The flagship OnePlus 8 models will be backed by the 5G-enabled Snapdragon 865 processor, coupled with 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM (LPDDR4 on the OnePlus 8) and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Further, the Pro model will pack a 4,510mAh battery with 30W wired as well as 30W wireless charging support while the standard version will house a 4,300mAh battery with 30W wired charging only.
