OnePlus 8 Pro's specifications leaked, 50W fast-charging on the cards
The OnePlus 8 Pro is turning out to be a compelling rival to Samsung's hotly-anticipated Galaxy S20. The OnePlus flagship is already tipped to come with a new punch-hole design, high-quality 120Hz MEMC-equipped 2K display, and even wireless charging support. But that's not all. A new leak has now claimed that the handset will pack an impressive 4,500mAh battery and offer 50W fast charging.
How will the OnePlus 8 Pro look like?
According to leaked renders, the OnePlus 8 Pro will ditch the all-screen look of its predecessor, the OnePlus 7T Pro, in favor of a punch-hole design. The display will have a small camera cut-out on the top left corner along with curved edges, and a metal-glass construction. On the rear, it will house a total of four cameras including a separate ToF sensor.
It will offer a 120Hz 2K AMOLED screen
According to the new leak, the OnePlus 8 Pro will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display will also be backed by a dedicated MEMC chipset that will convert ordinary 30fps content into 60fps or even 120fps videos. Further, the screen should offer QHD+ (2K) resolution and support HDR10 or HDR10+ standard as well as Dolby Vision.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
At present, the details about the OnePlus 8 Pro camera are pretty scarce. However, some reports suggest the handset would come with a 64MP Quad Bayer main sensor. On the front, it will house a single selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The leak also claims that OnePlus 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. However, we may see 12GB or even 16GB RAM on the top-end model. Under the hood, it is tipped to pack a 4,500mAh battery which will support 50W fast-charging. Moreover, the handset will support wireless charging as well.
OnePlus 8 Pro to be launched between March-April
Meanwhile, according to a recent tip-off from Ishan Agarwal, the OnePlus 8 series will go official in India sometime in late March or in April. Perhaps, the company is pushing forward the launch by almost an entire month as part of a new strategy.
