OnePlus 7T v/s OnePlus 7: What is new and different?
It's that time of the year again. Amid the razzmatazz of iPhone 11 and Pixel 4 leaks, OnePlus is quietly working to launch the 'T'-branded sequels to the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. We recently got our first look at the standard OnePlus 7T, allowing us a fair comparison with its predecessor to ascertain the differences. Here, we list all the changes.
The visual stuff
If you thought OnePlus 7T would offer a notch-less all-screen design, you might feel a bit let down as the phone will retain the same waterdrop notched screen and metal-glass body we saw on the OnePlus 7. As for the visual changes, the SIM tray will move to the bottom edge and a triple-lens camera system will replace the dual-sensor unit on the back.
What about the screen?
Going by the renders, the upcoming OnePlus 7T will offer the same frontal design and proportions we have seen on the OnePlus 7. Hence, we can expect the handset to retain its predecessor's 6.4-inch non-curved AMOLED display, presumably with the same full-HD+ resolution. The OnePlus 7T will also continue to offer an optical in-screen fingerprint reader, a USB Type-C port, and dual stereo speakers.
OnePlus 7T tipped to offer a 48MP triple-lens rear camera
Given mid-range handsets are now offering triple and quad lenses, a camera upgrade on the OnePlus 7T was imminent. According to a tip-off, the phone will retain the 48MP main sensor of the OnePlus 7 and amp it up with a wide-angle lens and a depth camera. On the front, it is likely to offer a 16MP selfie snapper, same as the OnePlus 7.
The new Snapdragon 855 Plus is a possibility
In a first, Qualcomm recently announced Snapdragon 855 Plus as a mid-year upgrade to its flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset and we expect OnePlus to offer the new processor on the upcoming OnePlus 7T series. It would also come with upto 8GB RAM, upto 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, a 3,700mAh or a slightly bigger battery, and at least 20W fast charging support.
All details will be confirmed on September 26
According to Pricebaba, OnePlus 7T-series will go official in India on September 26 alongside the OnePlus TV. Hence, we can expect to see more leaks and teasers over the coming weeks. As for pricing, like OnePlus 6, the T version would cost Rs. 32,999.
