OnePlus 7T, OnePlus TV launch event: All the major announcements
OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus TV in India today, while missing out on the rumored OnePlus 7T Pro model. The television is a flagship offering with a 55-inch QLED 4K screen, Android-tv'>Android TV OS, and 8 speakers. As for the new handset, it sports a 90Hz AMOLED display, upgraded rear camera, and top-tier internals. Here's all about the new products.
OnePlus 7T: Design and display
OnePlus-7t'>OnePlus 7T retains the design of its predecessor but with a slightly smaller notch to offer a taller 20:9 aspect ratio and increased screen-to-body ratio. There is also a new circular triple camera arrangement on the back housed in a dual-tone frosted matte glass. Further, the 7T gets a non-curved 6.55-inch HDR10+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and full-HD+ resolution.
OnePlus 7T: For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The OnePlus 7T sports a triple lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP(f/1.6) primary sensor, a 12MP(f/2.2) telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 117-degree field-of-view. There is also a new macro mode that lets you capture shots from as close as 2.5cm. The wide-angle lens gets support for Nightscape while the main lens gets a Super Stable mode.
OnePlus 7T: Under the hood
The OnePlus 7T is powered by the refreshed Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and upto 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. It also features a new graphite heat sync pipe for improved heat management The handset gets stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a haptic motor, and improved in-screen fingerprint sensor. Notably, the phone will ship with Android 10.
OnePlus 7T will come with several India-centric features
The OnePlus 7T will come with free 5GB of cloud gallery for keeping your photos, and additional 50GB cloud storage free for the first year. The OS will also get features such as Cricket scores, Smart messages, Work-Life balance, and OnePlus Pay (later this year).
OnePlus TV: Specs and features
Meanwhile, the OnePlus TV features a 55-inch 4K custom-made QLED display (95.7% screen-to-body ratio) with Dolby Vision and a OnePlus-designed Gamma Color Magic processor that offers industry-leading color representation (DCI-P3: 96%, NTSC: 120%). The TV also packs a built-in 8-speaker soundbar that slides out from the bottom edge. It offers a combined 50W audio output and supports Dolby Atmos.
OnePlus TV comes with a smart remote controller
The OnePlus TV comes with a sleek, minimalistic-looking remote controller featuring an aluminum body and supports Type-C charging. It also has a dedicated button for launching the Google Assistant.
OnePlus TV runs on Android TV
Notably, OnePlus TV runs on a custom version of Android TV that will get software updates for at least three years. Further, there is a OnePlus Connect feature that lets you pair your smartphone with the television to offer functionalities such as trackpad control, keyboard, smart volume control, app switching, and even screenshot taking capabilities.
Here are the pricing details of these models
The OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro (with soundbar) are priced at Rs. 69,900 and Rs. 99,900, respectively. The OnePlus 7T will cost you Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant. All products will be available from September 28.
