Ahead of launch, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition leaked
Just hours before the launch, reputed tipster @IshanAgarwal24 has leaked press renders of the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition, revealing the design of the upcoming handset in entirety. The special variant retains the notch-less curved screen form factor of the OnePlus 7 Pro while featuring some iconic McLaren highlights to set it apart from the standard 7T Pro. Here's our roundup.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: At a glance
As per renders, the frontal look of the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition will be identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro with an all-screen design, curved edges, and a pop-up selfie snapper. However, on the rear, it will feature a redesigned glass body with a new textured finish, orange accents around the camera and the phone's frame, and an orange-colored alert slider as well.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition to offer QHD+ AMOLED display
According to two separate leaks by Agarwal, the standard OnePlus 7T Pro will offer the same 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display we saw on the regular 7 Pro with support for 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The display should come with Gorilla Glass 6 protection and pack an optical fingerprint reader. As for the McLaren Edition model, we expect to see the same specs.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The OnePlus 7T Pro is tipped to sport the same camera setup as the OnePlus 7 Pro but with a new ToF sensor and some nifty software features. Hence, we expect to see 48MP main sensor, 8MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP wide-angle lens. On the front, it should bear a 16MP pop-up camera. The special McLaren Edition should also offer the same camera.
Under the hood
The regular OnePlus 7T Pro will come with a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, paired with upto 12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Meanwhile, the maxed-out 12GB/256GB configuration may be exclusive to the McLaren Edition. Under the hood, both variants are likely to pack a 4,080mAh battery with support for WARP Charge 30T. However, the special variant may get faster-charging speed.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition will cost 849-859 euros
According to Agarwal, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition will be the most expensive OnePlus phone to date. In Europe, it will cost 849-859 euros for 12GB/256GB which, by direct conversion, will be Rs. 66,500-67,300 in India.
