OnePlus 7T Pro, McLaren Edition announced: Features, pricing, availability
Keeping up with the tradition, OnePlus has launched the mid-year update for its flagship phone. The new device, dubbed OnePlus 7T Pro, is pretty much the same package that debuted earlier this year but brings some notable changes, including a faster processor. Also, there is a fancy new "McLaren Edition" of the device. Let's take a look at everything.
Same display, design, cameras of OnePlus 7 Pro
Unlike OnePlus 7T, which debuted last month with a rounded camera array, the new OnePlus 7T Pro is pretty much identical to its '7 Pro' predecessor. It features an aluminum frame that sports a 6.67-inch 90Hz display with 1440x3120 resolution, elongated camera module packing three rear cameras [48MP+8MP+16MP] and a 16MP selfie camera that pops up from the top.
What's new: Processor, charging technology
While design, display, and camera remain unchanged, internals get upgraded on OnePlus 7T Pro. First, it incorporates a faster Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, promising 15% faster GPU performance than OnePlus 7 Pro and its Snapdragon 855 processor. Then, there is a slightly bigger 4,085mAh battery and a new "30T" WARP Charge adapter that is said to be 23% faster than that of 7 Pro.
You can get nearly 70% charge in just 30 minutes
OnePlus says the new adapter bundled with OnePlus 7T Pro can charge its battery up to 68 percent in 30 minutes. It also features some software tweaks to improve camera output as well as a macro mode to capture small objects perfectly.
What you get with the new McLaren Edition?
Further, the new McLaren Edition of 7T Pro boasts a design enhanced with McLaren's signature papaya orange color. It will be available in a single variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Notably, you can get the same configuration for the standard 7T Pro but there's also an option to go for a model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
How much the new phones cost?
The 8GB model of OnePlus 7T Pro has been priced at Rs. 53,999 while the McLaren Edition will cost Rs. 58,999. Both phones will run Android 10 based OxygenOS 10. OnePlus 7T Pro will go on sale on October 12 via Amazon India, OnePlus.in, OnePlus offline stores, while McLaren Edition will start hitting the shelves starting November 5.
