OnePlus 7 renders show pop-up selfie camera, triple rear camera
OnePlus 7 will come with a pop-up selfie camera and not with a slider camera design, according to the latest renders. Interestingly, tipster @Onleaks and @PriceBaba have collaborated to give us a detailed look at the upcoming flagship, revealing a notch-less all-screen design and triple rear cameras. Here's everything to know.
OnePlus 7: At a glance
These renders show the phone from all sides, highlighting an uninterrupted all-screen design achieved by featuring a pop-up camera. This radical design change will offer a significantly higher screen-to-body ratio of over 90% as against nearly 86% on the OnePlus 6T. On the back, the OnePlus 7 is seen sporting a vertically-stacked triple rear camera setup with a curved glass unibody design.
What else is changing on the OnePlus 7?
Alongside the new design, the OnePlus 7 will also have a couple of noteworthy changes. The earpiece grille is markedly bigger than OnePlus 6T's, possibly for packing a second speaker. The alert slider also appears to be repositioned closer to the power button, allowing better single-hand reachability. Further, OnePlus 7 will retain a Type-C port, bottom speaker, in-screen fingerprint sensor, and no headphone jack.
OnePlus 7 will offer triple rear cameras
As seen in the renders, OnePlus 7 will come with a triple rear camera setup. However, while it's unclear what that third sensor does, we can expect it to be a depth-sensor or a wide-angle sensor. Moreover, the front camera will be housed in a pop-up module which will most probably be a motorized setup.
OnePlus 7 specsheet: Everything we expect
We expect OnePlus 7 to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with upto 10GB RAM and upto 256GB storage. Further, given OnePlus 7 won't support wireless charging, we expect to see 30W Speed Warp fast charging that debuted with OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Lastly, rumors also suggest that it will pack a bigger 4,150mAh battery as against the 3,700mAh battery in OnePlus 6T.
Pricing and availability
OnePlus usually launches two flagship devices - one around May-June and another "T" upgrade around October-November. So, we can expect to see OnePlus 7 something in Q2 2019. As far as OnePlus 7's pricing is concerned, we might see an uptick of $50-100 over OnePlus 6T's.
