OnePlus 7 Pro confirmed to offer these flagship features
OnePlus is ready to take on heavyweights like Apple, Samsung, and Huawei with its most-expensive device to date, the OnePlus 7 Pro. So far, several official teasers and credible leaks have confirmed that the upcoming premium model will offer an all-screen design, high-quality display, triple-lens rear camera, and top-of-the-line internals including first-in-class UFS 3.0 storage. Here's a look at OnePlus 7 Pro's flagship features.
OnePlus 7 Pro: At a glance
The OnePlus 7 Pro will feature a bezel-less, notch-less all-screen design achieved by housing the selfie camera in a pop-up module. This showstopper design will allow the phone to boast an unprecedented screen-to-body ratio of close to around 95%. Further, an all-glass body, curved screen edges and new color finishes will add to the premium-ness of the upcoming OnePlus flagship.
OnePlus 7 Pro's screen will be a marquee feature
OnePlus 7 Pro will feature a 6.67-inch QHD+ curved AMOLED display with a variable refresh rate of 60-90Hz and automatic switching between full-HD+ and QHD+ resolution. A high refresh rate will allow for smoother UI animations and improved gaming experience. The display will also be HDR10+ certified, meaning it'll offer upto 4,000-nits of peak brightness. Currently, only the premium Galaxy S10 models support HDR10+.
What about the camera specifications?
OnePlus 7 Pro looks to match other premium flagship competitors with a triple-lens rear camera comprising a 48MP primary sensor, joined by a 16MP (f/2.2) wide-angle lens with 117-degree field-of-view and an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. Up front, the motorized pop-up up camera module is tipped to house a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.
Here's more about the camera features of OnePlus 7 Pro
The main camera has 0.3 seconds of shutter lag, Auto HDR, 10x digital zoom, and a 20-frame limit for burst mode. Recently, Wired reported that the optically-zoomed (3x) photos retain detail rather than trying to remove noise while the 48MP main sensor uses pixel-binning to offer 12MP images with heavy noise reduction. Further, the phone will also offer a Night Mode for low-light photography.
Under the hood
OnePlus 7 Pro will be backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with upto 12GB of RAM and upto 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. Under the hood, it will pack a 4,000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charging supported via a USB Type-C 3.1 port. Moreover, the phone is tipped to offer improved vibration motor for haptic feedback as well as stereo speakers.
Is UFS 3.0 storage really a big deal? Well, Yes!
OnePlus 7 Pro will be the first-ever smartphone to offer UFS 3.0 storage considering the $2,000 worth Galaxy Fold, which was to debut this new storage format, is not releasing anytime soon. The UFS 3.0 storage format provides 2x performance upgrade over the previous version, suggesting OnePlus 7 Pro will offer faster app launch time, boot-up, photo-saving, and every other on-device file operation.
OnePlus 7 Pro: The company's most expensive offering till date
Reputed tipster Ishan Agarwal has revealed the India pricing of all the OnePlus 7 Pro models. The premium phone will cost Rs. 49,999 for the base-end 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Further, the mid-end 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant and the top-end 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model are tipped to arrive at Rs. 52,999 and Rs. 57,999, respectively.
