OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro to launch on May 14
OnePlus is all set to launch its latest batch of flagship smartphones as early as next month. The Shenzhen-based company is working to launch OnePlus 7 (successor to OnePlus 6T) and a new OnePlus 7 Pro model with spruced up internals and 5G support. In the latest development, tipster Ishan Agarwal has claimed that these devices would be unveiled on May 14. Here's more.
OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7: At a glance
According to leaks and renders, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will look quite identical with an all-screen design, triple rear cameras, and a pop-up selfie camera. However, the Pro model is likely to feature curved screen edges. Further, OnePlus 7 is said to sport a 6.4-inch screen whereas the Pro model is tipped to offer a bigger 6.67-inch Super Optic display.

According to an earlier leak, OnePlus 7 will sport a 48MP+20MP+16MP triple rear camera setup. Up front, it is said to offer a 16MP (f/1.9) camera. On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 Pro is likely to feature a triple camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor, paired with a 16MP sensor and another 8MP sensor.
Under the hood
As per reports, both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. However, the high-end specs could be exclusive to the Pro model which will support the 5G network. Further, OnePlus 7 is tipped to house a 4,000mAh battery and support fast 44W Dash Charging.
Pricing and availability
OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are expected to be launched globally on May 14. Hence, going by the past OnePlus launches, the latest flagships could arrive in India around the same time. As for pricing, given the design makeover, camera upgrade, and internal increment, OnePlus 7 might see an uptick of $50-100 over OnePlus 6T while OnePlus 7 Pro would be more expensive.
