#LeakPeek: OnePlus 6T image showing triple rear camera setup leaked
OnePlus is expected to launch OnePlus 6T, the successor to OnePlus 6, on January 15, 2019. And as we move nearer to the launch, more and more leaks are coming our way. In the latest such update, a OnePlus 6T render posted on Weibo reiterates that the phone will be inspired by the recently launched OPPO R17 Pro. Here's everything we know so far.
OnePlus 6T will be OPPO R17 Pro-inspired
The current OnePlus 6T render reinstates the key design elements that were revealed by an alleged retail box of the upcoming flagship. The render suggests OnePlus 6T will feature a waterdrop-like notched display, a triple rear-camera setup and would sport an-display fingerprint sensor. Notably, these are all key design features seen on OPPO R17 Pro.
OnePlus 6T to get a triple rear camera setup
As per the render, OnePlus 6T will sport a triple rear-camera module, much like OPPO R17 Pro. However, whether it will get the same optics as R17 Pro, remains to be seen. But if it does, then OnePlus 6T will come with a 12 MP (f/1.5-2.4) primary sensor with Dual-Pixel PDAF, OIS, a 20MP (f/2.6) secondary sensor and a third TOF 3D stereo camera.
Under the hood
In terms of internals, the OnePlus 6 already packs top-notch specs. However, given the next iteration of Qualcomm Snapgradon 845, the Snapdragon 855 processor entered mass-production back in June, we expect OnePlus 6T to run the new chipset. Other expected specs and features include up to 8GB RAM, up to 512GB inbuilt storage, a bigger battery, wireless charging, IP certification and in-display fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus 6T is expected to start at $550
According to reports, the price of OnePlus 6T is tentatively set at $550 (approximately Rs. 36,000), a minor increase from OnePlus 6's starting price of $529. That said, $550 mark is still not finalized. However, if OnePlus 6T is likely to get a new design, upgraded camera and under the hood updates, we can expect the price to come close to $600.
