What to buy: OnePlus 6, Samsung Galaxy S9, iPhone X
OnePlus has launched its much-awaited OnePlus 6 smartphone, today. With its high-end specs and features, it will compete with other flagships like Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X for market share. While the OnePlus 6 and Samsung Galaxy S9 feature an all-glass design, fingerprint sensor, and earphone jack, the OnePlus 6 and iPhone X have the notch in common. Let's compare the three devices.
All phones have face unlock, fast charging batteries
The OnePlus 6 has a 6.28-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. The Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display. The iPhone X sports a 5.8-inch OLED Super Retina display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The OnePlus 6 features a 3,300mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy S9 packs a 3,000mAh battery, and the iPhone X has a 2,716mAh battery. All the features are more or less comparable.
OnePlus 6 is compatible with Android P beta
One of the highlights of the OnePlus 6 is its fast 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. It runs Android Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.1. The Samsung Galaxy S9 runs Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 9810 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. The iPhone X runs iOS 11.2 and is powered by the Apple A11 Bionic processor coupled with 3GB RAM. OnePlus claims to be the fastest in the lot.
Samsung Galaxy S9 has AR Emojis, iPhone X has Animojis
The OnePlus 6 has a dual camera setup with 16MP + 20MP sensors. It has a 16MP front camera. The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a dual aperture setup on its primary 12MP camera and features another 8MP front camera. The iPhone X sports a dual rear camera setup with two 12MP sensors and a 7MP front camera. Specs wise, OnePlus has an edge here.
OnePlus 6 is relatively pocket-friendly
The OnePlus 6 costs Rs. 34,999 for 6GB RAM/64GB variant, Rs. 39,999 for 8GB RAM/128GB variant and Rs. 44,999 for 8GB RAM/256GB storage Avengers variant. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is priced at Rs. 57,900, Rs. 61,900, and Rs. 65,900 for 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options, respectively. The iPhone X costs Rs. 89,000 for 64GB model and Rs. 1,02,000 for 256GB option.
