OnePlus 6 receives Android P Beta 2: Details here
OnePlus has now started to release Android P Beta 2, the latest version of the developer preview, for OnePlus 6. This latest build of Android P comes with a slew of OxygenOS features, along with Google's own additions such as the integration of Google Lens. What's new in Android P Beta 2 for OnePlus 6?
Firstly, the latest developer preview brings several changes in Quick settings, Recents menu along with improved multitasking, new design and UI changes. Additionally, you also get some OxygenOS features including Ambient display option and fully-customizable system accent colors, improved support for OnePlus 6's dual rear cameras, Google Lens integration and improvements in face unlock feature.
Other devices that have received Android P Beta 2 update
The developer preview was first released for Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Google Pixel 2, and Google Pixel 2 XL. Later, this Android build has been rolled out for OnePlus 6, Essential Phone and Sony Xperia XZ2.
Here's how to install Android P Beta 2
Firstly, download the Android P Beta 2 ROM from Google Drive or AndroidFileHost. Now back up all your files (you will need to wipe your device), boot into TWRP and do a factory reset. Copy the ROM file to your device and flash it through TWRP. Now restart the device and boot into OnePlus recovery. Select full wipe and then normally boot your device.
