OnePlus 6 might closely resemble new OPPO R15 smartphone
OnePlus 6 smartphone, that is expected to launch this June, might look a lot like the recently launched new OPPO R15 smartphone. The design of the OPPO R15 matches all of the OnePlus 6 rumors that have been floating around. It should be noted that OnePlus smartphones have a history of closely resembling OPPO smartphones.
Both phones to have notch display, minimal bezels
According to the leaks, the OnePlus 6 will feature an iPhone X-like notch display, minimal bezels, and a 19:9 aspect ratio screen. All of these specifications can also be seen on the OPPO R15. Last year too, the OPPO R11 smartphone ended up looking like the OnePlus 5T smartphone. However, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei earlier dismissed rumors about the OnePlus 6 sporting a notch.
What we know about the OnePlus 6 so far
According to reports, it is speculated that the OnePlus 6 will feature a 6.2-inch display, a Snapdragon 845 processor, and 8GB of RAM. It might come in three storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, along with a dual rear camera setup with 12MP and 20MP sensors. The 256GB model of the phone, will can also support the Dash fast charging, might cost $749.
OnePlus is a subsidiary of OPPO Electronics
Notably, OnePlus and OPPO are part of the same China-based electronics company called BBK Electronics. The two smartphone makers also share an investor. Further, OnePlus is a subsidiary of OPPO Electronics, and thus often uses its designs for smartphones.
OnePlus offers phones at prices lower than other flagship devices
Besides look and design, OnePlus doesn't have a lot in common with OPPO phones. OnePlus uses a near-stock Android interface to appeal to international markets, along with high-end latest Qualcomm chipsets for fast memory computing and sufficient storage space. It also offers its phones at prices lower than other flagship devices for almost the same features.
