OnePlus 6 to have glossy black back panel, possibly ceramic
OnePlus has released another teaser regarding the OnePlus 6 that reveals it will sport an all-new black back panel. This is largely speculated to be a ceramic back panel as that can enable wireless charging support, a feature the OnePlus 6 is expected to come with. If true, the upcoming flagship will directly compete against the Essential Phone and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S.

If not ceramic, another possibility is that the OnePlus 6 could have a glass back. This will make it compete against the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9, both of which sport glass back panels. Predecessors OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T had an aluminum back and the "new material" confirms that the upcoming flagship will definitely not sport that.
What is expected out of the device
OnePlus 6 will reportedly sport a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a wide-screen aspect ratio of 19:9, 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras, a 20MP front camera, and a 3,450mAh battery. It will feature three variants of 6GB RAM/64GB, 8GB RAM/128GB, and a humongous 12GB RAM/256GB option. It will run the Android Oreo-based Oxygen 5.1 OS and be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor.
What else do we know about the OnePlus 6
The upcoming phone will feature a notch, a headphone jack, a bottom bezel, 4K video recording capability, and IP68 water resistance. It will have OnePlus's biggest screen with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It will come in black, blue and white colors. There is no word on pricing and launch date, but it is expected to start selling at Rs. 39,000 and come in mid-May.
