OnePlus 6 leaked: Image shows iPhone X-like notch, dual cameras
What's the story
The high-end OnePlus 6 smartphone is expected to be launched in May or June this year, but leaks about the device have already started surfacing on the web.
Some images of the phone were reportedly leaked on Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo, and according to them, the OnePlus 6 might be similar to the iPhone X in look and design.
Here's how.
Details
OnePlus 6 might have vertically-aligned dual-rear cameras
The leaked images show that the phone features vertically-aligned dual-rear cameras and an edge-to-edge screen with a notch.
The images also show that the device, or at least a single variant of it, will come in a mirror finish.
Further, the fingerprint sensor is shown on the rear cover of the phone, along with the now well-recognized OnePlus 6 logo.
Information
OnePlus co-founder unusually quiet about the rumor
The images have now been deleted from Weibo, but not before being widely circulated. Notably, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei hasn't said anything about the rumors. This is a little surprising since he has previously been quick to dismiss baseless leaks around OnePlus devices on Twitter.
Background
OnePlus 6 can launch before the end of second quarter
The OnePlus 5 was delayed last year due to the low supply of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processors.
But the OnePlus 6 is expected before the end of the second quarter this year, since this time the supply of the Snapdragon 845 processors is good.
With India being the biggest market for OnePlus, the phone's global and India launch will happen together.
Information
Everything known about the phone so far
Other safe assumptions being made are that the phone will sport 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and a button for quick toggle of silent mode. It will probably run the Oxygen OS. The OnePlus 6 will feature face unlocking and Dash charging.
