OnePlus 6 early sale on May 21-22 via pop-up stores
OnePlus will hold an exclusive pre-sale of its upcoming OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone in India via pop-up stores on May 21-22. The pop-up stores will be temporarily established in eight cities: High Street Phoenix, Mumbai; Phoenix MarketCity, Pune; The Forum Vijaya, Chennai; The Forum Sujana, Hyderabad; DLF Place Saket, Delhi, South City Mall, Kolkata; Gulmohar Park Mall, Ahmedabad; and OnePlus Store, Brigade Road, Bengaluru.
Experience OnePlus 6 hands-on at pop-up stores
These pop-events will allow potential buyers to get a hands-on experience and purchase the OnePlus 6. They will take place from 3:30 PM to 8 PM on May 21 and from 11 AM to 7 PM on May 22. Notably, the smartphone will be available on first-come-first-serve basis. OnePlus will also hold similar pop-up events in New York, London, Paris, Milan, and Beijing.

"Since the OnePlus 2, we've held pop-ups for our new product launches in cities around the world, with hundreds of people turning up every time at each of them," said OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.
OnePlus 6 to launch on May 17 in India
The company's much-awaited flagship will launch in India on May 17 (3 pm IST) at an official event in Mumbai. The phone will exclusively start selling on Amazon at 12 pm IST on May 21 only for Prime members. The OnePlus 6 smartphone will reportedly be priced at Rs. 36,999 for the 64GB storage variant and Rs. 39,999 for the 128GB variant.
What is expected out of the phone
OnePlus 6 will reportedly sport a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a wide-screen aspect ratio of 19:9, 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras, a 20MP front camera, and a 3,450mAh battery. It will feature three variants with expected pairings of 6GB RAM/64GB, 8GB RAM/128GB, and 12GB RAM/256GB. It will run the Android Oreo-based Oxygen 5.1 OS and be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor.
OnePlus will feature iPhone X-like notch
The upcoming phone will feature a notch that can be hidden, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a bottom bezel, 4K video recording capability, and IP68 water resistance. It will have OnePlus's biggest screen with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It will come in black, blue and white color options and will have an all-new glass/ceramic back panel.
An Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 variant
The company has partnered with Marvel Studios to bring out an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 variant. This exclusive model will supplement release of the 'Avengers: Infinity War' movie in India. It is expected to debut around the same time as other models.
