OnePlus 12R update introduces new animations and UI features
OnePlus has launched an update for its OnePlus 12R model. The OxygenOS 14.0.0.701 firmware brings new animations and user interface (UI) features, that are designed to enhance the overall user experience. This includes improvements to touch control and several quality-of-life changes in the UI, providing a smoother visual experience for users. Let us have a look at the changes.
Enhanced visual experience
The latest firmware for the OnePlus 12R introduces wallpaper zoom and seamless icon transitions during app launch and exit, enhancing the visual experience. Users will notice wallpaper zoom animations, and gradual brightness transitions when turning the screen on or off. The notification drawer now shows a bounce animation effect when sliding to the bottom, adding a dynamic touch to user interactions.
Optimized UI elements
The update optimizes layer effects of Quick Setting icons and widgets for a more delicate and natural visual effect. Transition animations for the Home screen icons and widgets have been improved, along with wallpaper zoom animations upon device unlock. The background colors and Gaussian blur effects in Quick Settings, Notification drawer, the Home screen drawer, and Global Search have also been enhanced.
Improved touch control
The OxygenOS 14.0.0.701 update enhances the touch control experience with new transition animations, when swiping to exit an app or return to a previous page. Users can tap the lower right corner of a big folder to view more apps, pull down the app icons in large folders, and open an app in simply one move. The update also improves touch control responsiveness, turning interactions on the Home screen, and Recent tasks screen faster and more stable.
System improvements and security upgrade
The OxygenOS 14.0.0.701 update introduces system improvements such as adjustable volume in Quick Settings, and an option to hide the track when drawing the Lock screen pattern. Adjusting the size of floating windows, and swiping up to close a mini window feature is also available. The update also brings the April 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security on the OnePlus 12R.
