OnePlus 10 Pro now available for purchase in India
OnePlus 10 Pro has gone on sale in India. The flagship offering was launched last week as the company's most premium smartphone to date. The device can be purchased from the company's e-store, Amazon, and authorized retail stores. As for the key highlights, it has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, 80W fast-charging support, and Hasselblad-branded triple rear cameras.
Why does this story matter?
OnePlus 10 Pro is the successor to the company's popular smartphone, the 9 Pro. With the all-new 10 Pro, OnePlus aims to rival premium flagships such as Samsung Galaxy S22 and the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Pro. The 10 Pro offers a newer chipset, advanced cooling system, a redesigned camera setup, and comparatively faster charging than its predecessor.
The handset offers 120Hz AMOLED screen
The 10 Pro sports a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner with slim bezels, curved edges, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has an aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protecting the display. The flagship handset bears a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
It packs a 50MP ultra-wide snapper
The 10 Pro is equipped with a triple camera arrangement on the rear, comprising a 48MP (f/1.8, OIS) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP (f/2.4, OIS) telephoto lens. On the front, it offers a 32MP (f/2.4) snapper for taking selfies. The handset is capable of recording 8K videos at 24fps via the rear camera.
The device is backed by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset
The 10 Pro is fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It boots the latest OxygenOS 12.1, based on Android 12. The handset draws power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast-charging. Connectivity options include 5G, dual-SIMs, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, and a Type-C port.
