Nubia's gaming phone, Red Magic 3S teased in India
The recently launched Red Magic 3S is all set to make its global debut on October 16. The ZTE-owned company has started teasing the India launch of the gaming-centric handset via its social medial handles. However, it is still unclear if the phone would go official in the country along with its global launch. Here's our roundup.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Red Magic 3S comes with a conventional rectangular screen with prominent top and bottom bezels. On the rear, the metallic panel gets customizable RGB lighting, a single camera, and a physical fingerprint scanner. Further, the phone sports a 6.65-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and DC dimming support.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In the imaging department, the Red Magic 3S houses a single 48MP rear camera with f/1.75 aperture. The main camera on the phone supports 8K video recording and offers features like HDR, panorama, and face detection. Up front, there is a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.

The Red Magic 3S is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, paired with upto 12GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The handset runs Android Pie-based Red Magic OS 2.1 and packs a solid 5,000mAh battery with 27W fast-charging technology. Notably, the phone houses dual stereo speakers and offers liquid cooling technology as well as a built-in fan for thermal management.
Connectivity options and sensor details
The Red Magic 3S offers all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition, it gets all standard sensors including an accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, and e-compass.
Finally, what will be the pricing?
The Nubia Red Magic 3S is currently available in Chinese market. It costs CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 30,200) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 3,799 (approximately Rs. 38,250) for the 12GB/256GB variant. There is no word on the India pricing of the handset as of now. However, we expect it to come at a starting price of around Rs. 30,000.
