Nothing Phone (2a) new edition launching on April 29
Nothing will introduce the highly anticipated new edition of the Phone (2a) on April 29, at 12:00pm local time in India. The design of this upcoming model has been teased by Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart, hinting at similarities with the standard versions. Currently, the Phone (2a) is available in Black and White. The third iteration will join the existing color variants.
What to expect from the new edition?
Details about how the new edition will differentiate itself from the standard version, are still kept secret by both Nothing and Flipkart. However, with the launch just two days away, consumers' wait is nearing its end. Earlier this month, a device codenamed 'PacManPro' with model number A142P surfaced, sparking speculation about a potential 'Pro' or 'Plus' variant of the Phone (2a), although no confirmation has been provided by Nothing yet.
'Community Edition' project is also underway
Nothing is leading its 'Community Edition' project since last month, aiming to create an "ultimate version" of Phone (2a) through collective input. The initiative received over 400 submissions in its first hardware design round, resulting in the unveiling of 'Phosphorescence' concept, selected from the entries. The project is set to continue into May with a wallpaper design competition, followed by a packaging design contest in June, and a marketing campaign competition in July, ahead of anticipated launch later this year.
