Nokia X71 aka Nokia 6.2's specifications leaked ahead of launch
As the latest addition to its portfolio of Nokia smartphones, brand-licensee HMD Global will launch the X71 model in Taiwan on April 2. Internationally, it will be called Nokia 6.2 and will be released in other markets in the coming days. So far, leaks have suggested that Nokia X71 will feature a punch hole design, triple rear cameras, and mid-level internals. Here's more.
Nokia X71: At a glance
As per the renders, Nokia X71 aka Nokia 6.2 will feature a punch hole display with a slim bottom bezel. On the rear, it will come with a premium-looking glass casing, triple cameras, and a fingerprint scanner. Further, a leak claims that the phone will sport a 6.4-inch LCD display with a full-HD+ resolution.
New leak claims Nokia X71 will offer triple rear cameras
According to another leak, Nokia X71 will offer a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a 5MP sensor. This new piece of information contradicts an earlier tip-off which claimed that Nokia X71 will sport a 16MP+5MP dual rear camera setup. However, up front, the phone will house a single selfie snapper in the display hole.
Under the hood
According to the leak, the Nokia X71 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM. The phone was recently spotted on processor benchmarking website Geekbench, where it managed to score 1,458 in single-core tests and 5,454 in multi-core tests. Lastly, the phone will house a 3,500mAh battery and run stock Android Pie under the Android One program.
Nokia X71: Pricing and launch
Previously, HMD Global was expected to launch the Nokia X71 alongside Nokia 9 PureView at the MWC 2019. However, that did not happen. Now, reports suggest the phone will debut in Taiwan as X71 and then later arrive in other international markets. As for pricing, we speculate the phone to be priced under Rs. 20,000.
