Nokia X6 India launch soon, as support page goes live
The first Nokia phone to embrace the notch, Nokia X6 has been launched by HMD Global in China last month. Globally appreciated, X6 was tipped to launch in other countries after the phone was listed on the company's global website. And now, its support page has gone live on the Indian website, hinting at its imminent launch. Here's all about Nokia X6.
What does the Nokia X6 support page tell us?
HMD Global has listed the Nokia X6 user guide on the Indian website, providing all necessary information related to the features and usage of the phone. The support page also notes that Nokia X6 meets the "requirements for exposure to radio waves established" by the DoT, India. This means the phone has received India SAR certification which further confirms X6's expected launch.
Explained: Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
With mobile devices, we are exposed to a particular amount of radio waves (also called Radiofrequency energy) which are generated by the transmission of signals between the mobile phone and the network base station. The rate at which the human body absorbs this RF energy is known as Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). Thus, lower SAR value of your mobile phone is obviously better.
What is the SAR limit prescribed by various telecom bodies?
The maximum SAR level allowed by FCC in the US is 1.6W/kg of body-weight. In Europe, the limit prescribed by the Council of the European Union is 2.0W/kg. In India, Department of Telecom has set the SAR limit of 1.6W/kg averaged over 1gm of tissue.
