Nokia X5 with dual rear cameras, notch-based display launched
Keeping up with the notched display trend, HMD Global has launched the Nokia X5 in China. The phone gets a notch-based display, a prominent chin and a vertically positioned dual rear camera setup - a design inspired by Nokia X6 - the company's first notched display smartphone. Though with an impressive 84% screen-to-body ratio, the Nokia X5 features a rather chunkier notch with a thick chin, noticeable bezels, and a polycarbonate frame. The rear gets a glossy-looking glass panel with a fingerprint sensor mounted below the dual camera setup. The phone features a 5.86-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 2D curved glass on the front.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The Nokia X5 runs on stock Android Oreo 8.1 and packs a 3,060mAh battery.

The Nokia X5 comes with a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor, along with an LED flash module. Up front, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 80.4-degree wide angle view. Nokia X5 also supports AI-powered photography features such as portrait background blur and portrait skin mode.

In terms of connectivity options, Nokia X5 offers USB Type-C port, Dual 4G with Dual VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/A-GPS, and FM radio. Sensors on the phone include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, and gyroscope.
