    Expanding its portfolio of budget smartphones, HMD Global-owned Nokia has launched the 2018 models of its Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 smartphones.

    Titled Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1, these phones get upgraded internals as compared to their respective predecessors and come at a global average price of about Rs. 7,800, Rs. 10,900, and Rs. 14,800 respectively.

    Nokia 2.1: At a glance

    The Nokia 2.1 bears a 5.5-inch 16:9 HD (720x1280 pixels) display and runs Android Oreo (Go edition).

    It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage (expandable up to 128GB) and packs a 4,000mAh battery.

    In terms of camera, the Nokia 2.1 offers an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera.

    The Nokia 3.1 gets a 5.2-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

    It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and packs a 2,990mAh battery.

    As part of Android One programme, the Nokia 3.1 runs Android Oreo 8.0 out-of-the-box.

    The Nokia 5.1 features a 5.5-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

    It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755S processor, coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

    The Nokia 5.1 packs a 3,000mAh battery and runs Android Oreo (Android One programme) out-of-the-box.

    Availability and other details

    The Nokia 2.1 will be available starting July 2018 in Blue/Copper, Blue/Silver, and Grey/Silver colors.

    The Nokia 3.1 will be available starting June. It will be offered in Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome, and White/Iron color variants.

    Lastly, the Nokia 5.1 will be up for grabs in July in three color finishes - Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black.
