Nokia 9 PureView, with 5 cameras, to be launched soon
HMD Global is working to introduce the camera-centric Nokia 9 PureView in India soon. Ever since its unveiling at MWC in February, the flagship phone has been rumored to launch in the country on several occasions but it hasn't. However, this time the company has officially teased the Nokia 9 PureView, hinting at its impending arrival in India. Here's everything to know.

Up front, the Nokia 9 PureView sports a traditional notch-free display with sizeable bezels while on the back, the curved glass panel houses a novel five-camera setup. The handset features a 5.99-inch Quad-HD+ (1440x2960 pixels) pOLED screen with HDR10 certification and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it has an IP67 dust and water resistance rating and Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the screen.
World's first five camera setup on a smartphone
The Nokia 9 PureView sports a ZEISS-sourced five-lens rear camera which comprises three 12MP monochrome sensors and two 12MP RGB sensors. Notably, all lenses have an f/1.8 aperture. In this setup, each individual camera captures a shot and then all five pictures are merged to create a single image with more light, clarity, and other details. Up front, there's a single 20MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Nokia 9 PureView is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Under the hood, it runs stock Android Pie and packs a 3,320mAh battery with 10W Qi-based wireless charging support and 18W wired fast-charging. Further, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C port but lacks a headphone jack.
Pricing and availability
At the moment, there is no official word on the pricing and availability details of Nokia 9 PureView in India. However, going by the specifications, we expect the phone to arrive at around Rs. 45,000.
