Days ahead of launch, Nokia 9 PureView appears on Geekbench
HMD Global's Nokia 9 PureView, one of the most awaited smartphones of this year, will be launched on February 24 at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. And now, just days ahead of the formal announcement, the flagship phone has appeared on Geekbench, giving away all the key specifications. Here's everything we know about Nokia 9 PureView.
Firstly, what is Geekbench and Geekbench's scores?
Geekbench is a cross-platform processor benchmark platform which grades processors on their single-core and multi-core performances. While calculating multi-core scores, Geekbench runs multiple streams of instructions simultaneously per core and reports an aggregate score. With single-core scores, the same process is applied but on a single core. Notably, the quicker a CPU completes the instructions, the higher is its Geekbench score.
What does the listing tell us about Nokia 9 PureView?
As per the Geekbench listing, the Nokia 9 PureView will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, paired with at least 6GB of RAM. Moreover, the phone will run Android Pie out-of-the-box. In terms of performance, the Nokia 9 PureView scored 2,269 points in the single-core test and 8,793 points in the multi-core test - similar to other Snapdragon 845-powered devices.

As per renders, the Nokia 9 PureView will sport a traditional notch-free display with slim top and bottom bezels. At the back, the glass chassis will house a novel penta-lens camera array. The renders also show a USB Type-C port while highlighting the lack of a physical fingerprint scanner and headphone jack. Hence, the phone is likely to house an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Earlier, a leak claimed that Nokia 9 PureView will feature a ZEISS-made five-camera setup, comprising dual 12MP sensors with OIS, dual 16MP sensors, and another 8MP sensor. The whole setup will come paired with an LED flash unit and possibly, an IR sensor or laser autofocus. Up front, the phone will sport a single 12MP selfie snapper.

As per reports and leaks, the Nokia 9 PureView will come with a 5.9-inch QHD+ display with PureView technology and dust and water-resistant build quality. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, paired with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. Under the hood, the phone will run Android Pie out-of-the-box and pack a 4,150mAh battery.
