Nokia 9 PureView with five cameras launched for Rs. 50,000
As its most-advanced smartphone till date, HMD Global has launched the Nokia 9 PureView in Barcelona. The flagship phone comes with a notch-less 2K display, five rear cameras, Snapdragon 845 processor, wireless charging and in-display fingerprint sensor. Nokia 9 PureView is priced at $699 (approx. Nokia 9 PureView: At a glance
Up front, the Nokia 9 PureView sports a traditional notch-free display with sizeable top and bottom bezels. On the back, the glass chassis houses a novel five camera array. The flagship phone features a 5.99-inch Quad-HD+ (1440x2960 pixels) POLED screen with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the phone is IP67-rated.
World's first five camera setup on a smartphone
The Nokia 9 PureView sports a ZEISS-certified five-camera setup, comprising three 12MP monochrome sensors and two 12MP RGB sensors with all sensors having an f/1.82 aperture. When you click a photo, each sensor captures a shot which are then merged together to create a single image with higher details. Up front, the phone sports a single 20MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Nokia 9 PureView is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Under the hood, it packs a 3,320mAh battery with wireless charging support and runs Android Pie as part of the Android One program. Further, the phone supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port but misses a headphone jack.
Pricing and availability
The Nokia 9 PureView is priced at $699 (approx. Rs. 50,000) and comes only in Midnight Blue color option. The phone is now available for pre-orders in select markets and will go on sale in March.
