Nokia 8110 4G 'Banana phone' gets Facebook, WhatsApp support globally
Nokia 8110 4G, which recently received WhatsApp support in India, is now getting support for both WhatsApp and Facebook globally. HMD Global rolled out the new features as part of its latest update V15 (15.00.17.03). Earlier, the phone users could download the apps only via Jio Store. But now, they will be able to download the Facebook-owned services from the versatile KaiStore. Here's more.

Just like the original Banana phone, the Nokia 8110 4G also comes with a curved form factor and a slider that can be used to answer/end calls. The polycarbonate shell of the device comes in traditional all-black and yellow color variants and sports a 2.45-inch (240x320 pixels) QVGA curved screen display. Notably, it is IP-52 rated for dust and water-resistance.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Nokia 8110 4G promises a decent feature phone experience with a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 chip, paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. However, there is no storage expansion facility on this phone. It runs on KaiOS and packs a 1,500mAh battery. Moreover, the phone offers a 2MP rear camera with an LED flash while there is no selfie snapper.
Connectivity options and sensor details
Nokia 8110 4G comes with a designated app store which now supports WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search, YouTube and a revamped version of 'Snakes' game. In terms of connectivity, the phone gets LTE dual-SIMs (micro+Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Hotspot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-USB 2.0 port.

The Nokia 8110 4G is now available at Rs. 4,999 as against is original launch price of Rs. 5,999. It can be purchased via offline Nokia partner retailers as well as top online retailers including Amazon, Flipkart, and Nokia e-store.
