Nokia 8.1 becomes cheaper in India: Details here
In a bid to boost sales, HMD Global has reduced the prices of Nokia 8.1 in India. With the latest price reduction, the handset is now available at a starting price of Rs. 15,999. As for the key highlights, it comes with a full-HD+ notched display, all glass body, stock Android support, and mid-level internals. Here's more.
First, a look at the new prices
With this price reduction, Nokia 8.1 now costs Rs. 15,999 (MRP: Rs. 28,831) for the entry-level 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 22,999 (MRP: Rs. 31,999) for the 6GB/128GB variant. Notably, the price cut is permanent and new prices are reflecting on Nokia's official website. However, it is expected that the price revision will be applicable on other online and offline sales channels as well.
Nokia 8.1: At a glance
As far as specifications are concerned, the Nokia 8.1 features a conventional iPhone X-like notch on the top and a slim bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the glass panel houses vertically stacked dual cameras and a physical fingerprint scanner. Further, the handset sports a 6.18-inch LCD display with a full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and Nippon Electric Glass (NEG) protection.

In the imaging department, the Nokia 8.1 houses a dual-lens rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and and a 13MP secondary sensor. The main camera offers photography features such as HDR, panorama, portrait mode, and is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 20MP (f/2.0) front-facing shooter.

Powering the Nokia 8.1 is a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, upto 6GB RAM, and upto 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it runs stock Android Pie as part of Android One program and packs a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Further, the phone gets all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and headphone jack.
