Here is our first look at the India-bound Nokia 7.2
HMD Global is working to launch Nokia 7.2 as the sequel to last year's Nokia 7.1. The phone has already received key certifications in markets like Russia and India, with reports suggesting it could break cover at the IFA 2019 (next month). In the latest development, alleged live photos of the Nokia 7.2 have appeared on the internet, confirming key features. Here's a sneak-peek.
Nokia 7.2 to feature a waterdrop notched display
The leaked hands-on images of the purported Nokia 7.2 reveal a waterdrop notched design but the display doesn't stretch to the edges, leaving out noticeable borders on all sides. On the rear, the glass chassis houses a circular camera hub as well as the good old fingerprint reader. Leaks also suggest that the handset will bear a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with HDR 10 support.
Nokia 7.2 to sport a triple lens rear camera
The Nokia 7.2, as seen in the leaked images, will surely come with a triple rear camera. However, the specifications of the setup remain unclear. Reports suggest that the main sensor will be a 48MP camera while the other two will be a wide-angle lens and a depth sensor. Up front, the phone will house a single selfie snapper but its details are unknown.
Under the hood
Going by leaks and reports, the Nokia 7.2 is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 660/710 processor, paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 400GB. Under the hood, the phone is likely to pack a 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge support and run on stock Android Pie as part of Google's Android One.
Nokia 7.2 also tipped to offer all latest connectivity options
The Nokia 7.2 is also tipped to house a single speaker and dual microphones with Nokia OZO Audio capture technology. Further, it will support all the latest connectivity options including LTE Cat 6, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/AGPS, NFC, headphone jack, and Type-C port.
