Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus become cheaper: Details here
In a bid to boost its sales, HMD Global has reduced the prices of mid-range Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. The updated prices are now reflecting on Nokia's official website and Amazon, while they are yet to be updated on Flipkart. Both the smartphones come with a notched design, full-HD+ display, dual rear cameras, and mid-level internals. Here's more.
First, here's a look at the updated prices
With this price reduction, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is now retailing at Rs. 11,999 (previous price: Rs. 15,999) for the 4GB RAM model, while its 6GB RAM variant is available at Rs. 14,999 (previous price: Rs. 18,499). Similarly, Nokia 7.1 is now selling at Rs. 12,999 (previous price: Rs. 17,999) for the solo 4GB RAM model.
Nokia 7.1 and 6.1 Plus: At a glance
The Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus share the same iPhone X-like notched design with a prominent bezel at the bottom. On the rear, both the handsets house dual cameras and physical fingerprint scanner. Further, Nokia 7.1 comes with a 5.84-inch LCD display with full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) resolution, while the Nokia 6.1 Plus gets a slightly smaller 5.8-inch display but with the same resolution.

The Nokia 7.1 houses a dual-lens rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.8) main sensor and a 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the other hand, Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a similar setup but with a 16MP (f/2.0) primary sensor and a 5MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, Nokia 7.1 gets an 8MP selfie shooter, while Nokia 6.1 Plus houses a 16MP front-facing snapper.

Both the Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus are powered by the same Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. As for memory options, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the Nokia 7.1 gets 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Under the hood, both phones pack a 3,060mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
Connectivity options and sensor details
Talking about connectivity options, both Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus come with support for dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the handsets pack all standard sensors including an accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, and e-compass.
