These Nokia phones received Android 8.1 Oreo update in India
After getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update in January this year, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 have now received the Android 8.1 Oreo (version 5.580) stable update. As per reports, this stable software update is being rolled-out to Nokia 5 in some countries including India, Tunisia, and Indonesia. However, the Nokia 6's Android 8.1 update is only available in India. Here's more.

In terms of file size, the Nokia 5 Android 8.1 Oreo update is over 866.7MB, while the Nokia 6's update would require 933.8MB of disk space. Notably, this software update can be downloaded only via an active Wi-Fi connection. In order to check the availability of this update on your Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones, you can go to Settings > System Updates.
Nokia 5: The 'perfectly balanced' smartphone
The all-metal Nokia 5 has a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, 2.5 Corning Gorilla Glass, and a 3,000mAh battery It runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable upto 128GB). It has an 8MP front camera and 13MP rear camera.
UI changes in menus and updated Google security patch
The Android 8.1 Oreo update for both Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, includes battery saving navigation buttons, new settings menu, an improved power menu, Bluetooth battery percentage and Google Security Patch for March, 2018. Further, users will also get Android features such as Neural Networks API, SharedMemory API and Autofill framework updates alongside some performance improvements and bug fixes, including a 'corrected hamburger emoji'.

Sporting a metal unibody, Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, and 3,000mAh battery. It has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage; a limited edition 4GB-RAM/64GB-storage device is also available. With dual speakers, it has Dolby Atmos support.
