Ahead of launch, Nokia 5.3 specs and price leaked
HMD Global is working on launching its next generation of smartphones, including a premium Nokia 8.2 5G and a mid-range Nokia 5.3. The affordable handset, which was earlier tipped to be called Nokia 5.2, will arrive as a successor to Nokia 5.1. And now, just days ahead of the March 19 launch event, key specs and pricing of the Nokia 5.3 have leaked.
Nokia 5.3: At a glance
According to leaked images, the Nokia 5.3 will come with a waterdrop notched screen, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a premium glass body. On the rear, the matte-finished panel will sport a circular camera module with four sensors placed around an LED flash unit and a physical fingerprint reader. Going by the leaks, it will offer a 6.55-inch display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The quad-camera setup on the Nokia 5.3 is tipped to come with a 16MP main sensor. The main camera will be aided by another 5MP lens and two 8MP sensors. On the front, the handset will sport an 8MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Nokia 5.3 is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 660/665 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage. Under the hood, the handset will run on Android-10'>Android 10 (as part of the Android One program) and pack a 4,000mAh battery. It is also likely to support the latest connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Type-C port.
Top-end variant may be priced at $180
According to a NokiaPowerUser report, the top-spec Nokia 5.3 model with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage may be priced $180 (approx. Rs. 13,200). This means the lower-spec models will come with more affordable price tags.
