Android One-based Nokia 3.1 Plus launched at Rs. 11,499
As the latest addition to its portfolio of budget smartphones, HMD Global has launched the Nokia 3.1 Plus in India. The key highlights of the phone are its 6-inch traditional display, dual rear-camera, entry-level internals, and stock Android Oreo UI as part of Google's Android One program. Nokia 3.1 Plus: At a glance
Up front, the phone gets a conventional rectangular display with prominent borders on all sides. On the back, a 2.5D curved Aluminum chassis houses the dual-rear camera setup and fingerprint sensor. The Nokia 3.1 Plus features a 6-inch HD+ display and sports an 18:9 aspect ratio. Further, the phone will be offered in Blue, White, Baltic color options.
Under the hood
The Nokia 3.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) processor, paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 400GB). Under the hood, the phone packs 3,500mAh battery and runs stock Android Oreo.

Nokia 3.1 Plus sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13-MP (f/2.0) primary sensor along with 1.12-micron pixel size and Phase Detection Autofocus, paired with a 5-MP (f/2.4) monochrome sensor with 1.12-micron pixel size and fixed focus. Up front, the phone gets an 8-MP (f/2.2) sensor with a fixed focus lens and 1.12-micron pixel size.
Connectivity options and sensors onboard Nokia 3.1 Plus
In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Further, sensors onboard the Nokia 3.1 Plus include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
Pricing and availability
The Nokia 3.1 Plus costs Rs. 11,499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. Notably, HMD Global is yet to announce the price of the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model. The phone will go on sale from October 19 via Nokia e-store and all major offline stores. Lastly, Bharti Airtel is offering free 1TB data on plans above Rs. 199.
