Nostalgia: Nokia 105, 130 launched in India at Rs. 999
HMD Global, the Finnish start-up that is selling the Nokia products now, has launched entry-level features phones Nokia 105 and Nokia 130. The single-SIM variant of Nokia 105 is priced at Rs. 999 and the dual-SIM variant at Rs. 1149. It would be made available in India from July 19. The launch date and the price of the Nokia 130 haven't been revealed yet.
What's new in Nokia 105
The Nokia 105 will make its debut with a completely new look. The design is somewhat similar to the Nokia 3310 (2017). Other features remain unchanged - a 1.8-inch colour, 4MB RAM, 4MB ROM and 800mAh battery, to provide 15 hours of talk time. Nokia 105 will be available in blue, black, and white variants. It will also have pre-loaded games like Snake Xenzia.
How does the new Nokia 130 look like?
Nokia 130 that was first launched in the year 2004 will be boasting a new design this time with rounded edges and a polycarbonate shell for tough handling. It also has an in-built VGA camera and an MP3 player support. The new Nokia 130 supports Bluetooth connectivity and a 1020mAh battery which can last up to a month on standby from a single charge.
International price of Nokia 130
In his announcement, HMD Global CEO Arto Nummela did not reveal the price of Nokia 130 in India, however, internationally the phone is priced at $21.50 (approx Rs. 1384).
Nokia launch right before Reliance Jio's 4G phone announcement
HMD Global has announced the launch of the two new phones right when Reliance Jio is planning to announce the launch of its 4G-enabled phone in India. The Jio phone is expected to be priced at Rs. 500, and is most likely to be announced at the company's annual general meeting on July 21. The phone will be launched under Reliance LYF.
