2018 Honda Dio Deluxe launched in India for Rs. 53,292
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched a new top-spec variant of its sporty, automatic Dio scooter in the country, called the Dio Deluxe, for Rs. 53,292 (ex-showroom Delhi). The variant is approximately Rs. 3,000 more expensive than the base model of the Dio. The deliveries of the scooter will begin from the end of this month itself.
The most feature-rich Dio ever
The Honda Dio Deluxe gets a bunch of new features that are debuting on the Dio range for the first time. The most prominent features include LED headlamps and a fully digital instrument cluster. Other new features include an optional mobile phone charging point under the seat and new gold-finish rims that add to the overall premium look.
The scooter is being offered in total four color options
The Honda Dio Deluxe comes in two new matte color options of Marshal Metallic Green and Axis Metallic Grey. The other two color options which are also available in the base variant of the Dio are Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
It uses the same engine as the standard Dio
The Dio Deluxe is powered by the same 109cc engine that also runs the popular Activa 5G. It produces 7.8hp of power along with a peak torque of 8.9Nm. The engine has a top speed of 83kmph. The Dio Deluxe uses 130mm drum brakes along with Honda's patented CBS (combi-braking system). The mechanism applies both brakes automatically when the rear brake lever is pressed.
Dio Deluxe offers four-in-one ignition key
The Honda Dio Deluxe features the four-in-one ignition key, which was previously only present on the Honda Grazia. It comes with a separate switch to open the seat. The top model will compete with TVS Wego, Suzuki Lets, Hero Maestro Edge and Yamaha Ray ZR.
