Motorola RAZR foldable phone to launch tomorrow: Details here
Motorola is all set to unveil the new RAZR phone in a foldable avatar tomorrow at an event in Los Angeles, California. Over the past several weeks, countless leaks have revealed details about the design and specifications of the upcoming handset. Notably, the 2019 RAZR will join the likes of Galaxy Fold and Mate X in the elite club of expensive foldable devices.
Motorola RAZR will feature a flip design
As per leaked renders, the Motorola RAZR will sport a flip phone-like design, much like the original RAZR handset. However, the new model will feature a flexible AMOLED display on the inside instead of an LCD screen and physical keypad. On the outside, the phone will also house a secondary screen, a single primary camera, and a fingerprint reader integrated into the home button.
Notched internal screen, a functional external display
The internal flexible screen on the RAZR will bear a small notch on the top portion to house essential sensors and gadgetry including an earpiece, and a front-facing camera for video calling. Moreover, the external display will be a functional touchscreen that'll help you quickly check e-mails, app notifications, control music, and even serve as a viewfinder for clicking selfies via the main camera.
The phone is expected to come with mid-level internals
According to leaks, the Motorola RAZR will bear a 6.2-inch foldable display with a resolution of 876x2142 pixels. The external screen is said to be an LCD screen. The device is also rumored to be powered by Qualcomm's mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset, combined with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage and a 2,730mAh battery.
Motorola RAZR will be priced around $1,500
According to an earlier report, the Motorola RAZR will be launched in the US and Europe in December at $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1.07 lakh). Surely, these aren't the official details but the phone will be expensive, considering folding tech is still in a nascent phase.
