Motorola RAZR foldable phone launched at Rs. 1.25 lakh
Motorola's RAZR foldable phone, which was unveiled in November last year, has finally launched in India today. The handset brings back the iconic clamshell design we saw on the original RAZR V3 back in 2004, but in a futuristic foldable form-factor with mid-range hardware. In India, the handset comes at an eye-watering price tag of Rs. 1,24,999.
Motorola RAZR: At a glance
The reincarnated model sports the aesthetics of the original RAZR but with a modern twist. There is now a 6.2-inch flexible OLED notched screen on the inside which offers an HD+ (876x2142 pixels) resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. On the outside, there is a secondary 2.7-inch (600x800 pixels) Quick View display for accessing notifications/music, and a physical fingerprint reader on the lower-base.
Big bummer: Motorola RAZR has pretty basic cameras
In the days of multiple and mighty camera sensors, the ultra-luxurious Motorola RAZR offers a single 16MP (f/1.7) primary camera on the outside and another 5MP selfie camera housed in the notch of the internal screen.
Under the hood
The Motorola RAZR is powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in non-expandable storage. Under the hood, it packs a 2,510mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging and runs a forked version of Android Pie. Further, you get all the latest connectivity options including NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, and Type-C port.
Pricing and availability
In India, the RAZR is priced at Rs. 1,24,999, and will go on sale through Flipkart and select offline stores from April 2. However, those interested can pre-book the handset from today itself. As for launch offers, buyers can get Rs. 10,000 cashback using Citibank cards, double validity offer from Jio (on Rs. 4,999 annual recharge), and a discounted MotoCare Accident Damage Protection Plan.
