Motorola to launch 'One Hyper' with a pop-up camera design
Motorola is gearing up to expand its 'One' series of smartphones with a new handset that'll feature an in-trend pop-up camera design. Recently, the key specifications and design features of this handset surfaced online when ProAndroid shared some exclusive hands-on images. And now, folks at XDA Developers have claimed that the phone is likely to go official as Motorola One Hyper. Here's our roundup.
Motorola One Hyper: At a glance
Going by the leaked images, the One Hyper will feature a notch-less screen design achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. Notably, it will be the first handset from the company to offer this design. On the rear, the glossy panel will house a dual-lens camera and a physical fingerprint scanner. Further, the phone is tipped to sport a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display.
Motorola One Hyper to sport a 64MP dual rear camera
The dual-lens rear camera unit on the Motorola One Hyper will pack a 64MP (f/1.8) main sensor and an 8MP (f/2.2) secondary sensor. This primary camera setup will be able to record 4K videos at 30fps, full-HD videos at up to 60fps, 1080p slo-mo videos at 120fps and 720p slo-mo videos at 240fps. On the front, it'll house a 32MP (f/2.0) pop-up selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Motorola One Hyper, as per leaked specs, will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which will be expandable via a micro-SD card. Under the hood, the phone will house a 3,600mAh battery and run on stock Android 10 as part of Google's Android One program.
Pricing and availability
At present, there is no official or unofficial word on the pricing and launch of the Motorola One Hyper. However, given a near-production model has leaked in full glory, we can expect the handset to be launched in the coming weeks.
