Motorola One Action India launch expected on August 23
Motorola has sent out media invites for an August 23 event in India where the company is expected to launch the Moto One Action. The press invite doesn't reveal the name of the upcoming handset but the hashtag used by the company, #CaptureTheAction, suggests that the camera-centric Moto One Action is on the way. Here's our roundup.
Moto One Action to retain Moto One Vision's design
According to renders, the Moto One Action will retain the design of the recently launched Moto One Vision, including the punch-hole display and the noticeable bottom bezel. However, on the rear, it will offer a plastic casing instead of glass and triple-lens camera system. Further, the phone will sport a 6.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2520x1080 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
While we know that Moto One Action will offer a triple-lens rear camera setup, a major leak has outed the specifications of the sensors as well. The camera module will comprise a 13MP main sensor, a depth sensor, and a wide-angle "Action Cam" with 117-degree field-of-view. On the front, the phone will offer a 13MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Motorola One Action, as per leaks, will be powered by a Samsung-sourced Exynos 9609 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Under the hood, it will house a 3,500mAh battery and support the company's proprietary 15W Turbo fast-charging via USB Type-C port. Lastly, as part of the Android One program, the phone will run stock Android Pie out-of-the-box.
Moto One Action to launch around Rs. 20,000
According to leaks, the 4GB/128GB variant will cost 299 euros (approx. Rs. 24,000). Hence, we can expect to see similar pricing in India as well. Moreover, the company is also said to release cheaper models with 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB configurations but their pricing remains unclear.
