Motorola to launch an affordable 'Edge' phone with mid-level specs
Motorola is working to launch a couple of new 'Edge' phones sometime in the coming weeks. Just last week, we saw renders of the premium Edge+ variant that will come with a flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset. And now, XDA-Developers has shared photos and details of a regular Edge model that will pack mid-range internals and attract buyers with an affordable price tag.
Motorola Edge: At a glance
Design-wise, the handset will look the same as the flagship Edge+ model. So, it will have a waterfall display, a punch hole cut-out for the front camera and an all-glass chassis that will house a triple-lens camera. Further, the non-Plus model will come with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and an integrated fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
According to XDA-Developers, the triple-lens camera on the upcoming Motorola Edge will include a 64MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto shooter. On the front, it will have a 25MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The non-Plus Edge model will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Under the hood, it will pack a 4,500mAh battery and run on Android 10. The handset will also come with dual speakers, a Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a headphone jack as well.

There is no information regarding the launch or price of the Motorola Edge series. However, the word is that both handsets could go official in the coming weeks. As for pricing, the non-Plus model is expected to be launched at around $500-600 (around Rs. 37,000-44,000)
