Motorola has rolled out the Android 14 update for Edge 30 Ultra users in India, marking the second major OS firmware for this smartphone. The update, identified by firmware version U1SQS34.52-21-1-7, is a substantial download of approximately 1.49GB. The current Android 14 update introduces several significant features aimed at enhancing user experience and privacy. Users are advised to upgrade their devices to the latest OS.
Key features of the update
The Android 14 update introduces selective media sharing, permitting users to grant access to specific images/videos, rather than their entire media libraries. It also improves transparency around apps sharing location data with third parties, and provides alerts for policy changes pertaining to data sharing. The update includes a feature that notifies users if an unknown Bluetooth tracker is detected moving with them. Additionally, Health Connect has been integrated into the update, offering a centralized platform for health data storage.
