Ahead of launch, Moto G100's prices leaked
Motorola is all prepared to launch the Moto G100 handset on March 25. In the latest development, a Spanish retailer has listed the 8GB/128GB model of the smartphone with a price-tag of €478 (roughly Rs. 42,000). The Moto G100 is expected to arrive as a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge S, which was launched in China in January. Here's our roundup.
It will sport a 90Hz screen
The Moto G100 will have a dual punch-hole design, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will pack a quad camera unit. The handset will house a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2520 pixels) IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 21:9, a 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10 support. It will be offered in Blue and Silver color options.
The phone will boast of a 64MP main camera
The Moto G100 will have a quad rear camera module including a 64MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth camera, and a Time-of-Flight (ToF) shooter. Up front, there will be a 16MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide dual-lens system.
It will be backed by a Snapdragon 870 processor
The Moto G100 will draw power from a Snapdragon 870 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It will run on Android 11 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device should offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, 5G, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
Moto G100: Pricing and availability
Motorola will announce the pricing and availability details of the Moto G100 at the time of its launch, which will happen on March 25. However, the latest leak suggests it will cost €480 (roughly Rs. 42,000) for the 8GB/128GB variant.
