Teen tweets from smart fridge after mother takes away phone

A few months back, a report revealed how students use Google Docs to chat, and now, in another weird case, a teenager has used the smart fridge in her home to dodge the tech ban imposed by her mother. Dorothy's electronics were taken away
The 15-year-old who goes by the name of Dorothy on Twitter and shares Ariana Grande-related tweets was recently punished by her mother for not paying attention while cooking and almost starting a fire. She took away all of Dorothy's electronics, effectively cutting her connection with Twitter, which the teenager said helped her pass time during summers holidays, The Guardian reported.
So, Dorothy started looking for tweeting alternatives
Normally, a kid would try finding hidden gadgets, but Dorothy took a different approach and came up with other ways to send out tweets. She first used a handheld Nintendo device to inform her followers that her phone had been confiscated. But, her mother noted the tweet and took away that device. Then, she used another tweeting solution - a Wii U gaming console.
And, when Wii U was confiscated, she used smart fridge
Dorothy was able to send only a few tweets with Wii U before her mother apparently confiscated that too. This led the Ariana fan to use the LG smart fridge in her home to tweet. "I do not know if this is going to tweet I am talking to my fridge what the heck my Mom confiscated all of my electronics again," she shared.

The authenticity of Dorothy's 'fridge-based message' was verified with the source of the post, which mentions the name of the device used to share the post and read 'LG Smart Refrigerator' in this case. LG's website also confirmed that its fridges offer social media capabilities.
Twitter joined calls to #FreeDorothy
The smart techniques used by Dorothy got immediate attention from Twitter users. In fact, the microblogging site itself shared the #FreeDorothy hashtag, joining the calls to bring her back to the internet. It remains unclear when the ban would be lifted, but the teenager recently tweeted out: "I'm trying to get my things back fast so I can thank you [her supporters] properly!"
