Microsoft's latest Windows-based laptop-cum-tablet device, the Surface Go, is now available for pre-ordering in India via Flipkart. Touted as the smallest, lightest and most-affordable Surface yet, the Apple iPad Pro rival starts at Rs. 37,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option. Microsoft Surface Go: At a glance
Weighing just 522 grams and having a thickness of 8.3mm, the Surface Go features a 10-inch PixelSense Display with a resolution of 1800x1200 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with a fan-less design, a built-in kickstand, and an adjustable hinge to offer Studio, Laptop, and Tablet modes. The device also supports Surface Pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and low latency.
Microsoft Surface Go: Specifications and features
The Microsoft Surface Go is powered by 7th-generation Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y, paired with 4GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. It runs Windows 10 S out-of-the-box. However, it can be upgraded to full Windows 10 Home for free. Lastly, the tablet-cum-laptop device offers upto 9 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Connectivity options and other features of Microsoft Go
The hybrid device comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with also assists in face recognition (password-less log in). In terms of connectivity, the Surface Go offers the proprietary Surface Connector port for charging and connecting to a desktop dock. It also comes with a USB Type-C 3.1 port (for data, video, and charging), Wi-Fi, and a headphone jack.
Pricing of Surface Go and its accessories
Surface Go costs Rs. 37,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. As for optional accessories, Surface Go Type Cover keyboard (Black color) is priced at Rs. 8,699 and Surface Go Signature Type Cover at Rs. 11,799.
