Mi TV 4A Pro (49-inch) gets Android TV 9 update
Xiaomi is rolling out the latest Android TV 9 update for its Mi TV 4A Pro (49-inch) television. The Chinese tech giant has shared the news via a Twitter post, revealing that the TV will get all the goodies of the new operating system along with support for video streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. First, a bit about the update
With the latest Android TV 9 update, the Mi TV 4A Pro (49-inch) gets support for Netflix and Prime Video as well as Google's Data Saver feature which is touted to reduce the data usage by up to three times. Apart from that, the update also brings the October security patch, optimization for wireless connectivity, and a Vivid Picture Engine for improved viewing experience.

As far as its specifications are concerned, Xiaomi Mi TV 4A Pro sports a conventional rectangular design with slim bezels surrounding the screen. It comes with a 49-inch LED display with full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution and HDR support. It offers a viewing angle of 178-degree and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Moreover, it also comes with dual 10W stereo speakers with DTS-HD sound technology.
Under the hood
The Mi TV 4A Pro is powered by Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor, paired with Mali 450 MP GPU. As for memory options, it gets 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The model runs on Android TV OS with Xiaomi's PatchWall UI on the top. It also comes with built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant support.
And, what about connectivity options?
The Mi TV 4A Pro comes with support for single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. It also gets multiple ports for connectivity including three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one Ethernet point, and an audio jack for connecting external speakers.
